Didi Skinner

Business Owner

Didi Skinner is the proud owner of Propertyscouts Whangarei. With a background in conservation- and project management, and a decade of leading a local charity in Whangarei, Didi brings a unique blend of professionalism and heart to property management.

As a property investor herself, Didi is always looking for ways to turn market challenges into opportunities. She is passionate about bridging the gap between tenants and landlords, creating better outcomes for both sides.

"I realised early on that property management should be handled by a professional. When I discovered Propertyscouts' guaranteed rent system, I was so impressed that I decided to open my own branch here in Whangarei. Today, our service area stretches from Mangawhai in the south to Dargaville in the west."

Didi is deeply committed to her community, to investment, and to the sanctity of family. She credits her faith as the foundation of her success. She loves sharing her knowledge and experience with fellow investors across the Whangarei district.

Angela McFarlane

Personal Assistant

Angela has been in property management since 2018, bringing experience and dedication to the team. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, keeping fit, weekends away, exploring the outdoors and beaches.

Michelle Brymer - Propertyscouts NZ Administrator of the Year 2023

Administrator

Michelle started with the Propertyscouts team to provide inspections support but her work ethic saw her rapid rise through the ranks to accounts manager. Michelle’s wide range of workplace experience is perfect for this role as she has worked for 2 large corporate companies in Admin, Customer Service, Procurement, and Training and she has also Co-owned a plumbing business with her husband Gavin for over 3 years.

Michelle describes her family, husband, Gavin, 2 sons; Dillon (21) and Josh (18), and her pets, as the centre of her world, she is an avid fisherwoman and comfortable both in and out of the office environment.

Chantel de Beer - Propertyscouts NZ Property Manager of the Year 2024

Senior Property Manager

Chantel brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic to the team. She works mostly with our social housing tenancies and Dargaville tenancies.

Chantel is married to Matys, and they have two children, MJ (12) and Chantel (9). As a family, they enjoy spending time together outdoors, fishing, and exploring nature. Their strong bond as a family is evident, and we appreciate the beautiful Christian values that Chantel brings to our workplace.

Clint Kennedy

Property Manager

Clint brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in property management and is known for his practical, no-fuss approach to getting the job done. Based in Whangarei, Clint has built strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and tradespeople alike through clear communication, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

He’s approachable, solution-focused, and has a wealth of industry knowledge that helps him handle anything from tenancy issues to maintenance coordination with ease. Clint’s combination of experience and straightforward style makes him a trusted point of contact for those who want their properties managed with care and consistency.

Nicola Sorensen

Assistant Property Manager

Nicola is born and raised in Te Tai Tokerau on her family farm in Towai, and she brings with her strong community values and a wealth of professional experience. With over 20 years in the financial services industry, Nicola holds a Diploma as a Certified Insurance Professional and is a Level 4 Qualified Professional Adviser.

Nicola’s professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to doing what’s right make her an excellent addition to our team.

Lindie

Assistant Property manager

Lindie works closely with Karen as she learns the Propertyscouts way of doing things. She is thorough, proactive, and focused on getting good results for our property owners.

With a background in building and architectural technology, Lindie has spent years working hands-on with a local Whangarei builder, carrying out maintenance and renovation work. This practical experience means she understands how homes are built, how they should perform, and when small issues need attention before they become costly problems.

Lindie is a local Whangarei homeowner herself and is passionate about home DIY. She brings that same care, attention to detail, and pride of ownership into the properties she helps manage.

Dedicated, organised, and known for her integrity, Lindie fits naturally into the Propertyscouts team. She builds respectful relationships with tenants while setting clear expectations, helping protect your investment and support long-term tenancy stability.
